Meet the TEAM
LAURIE ANN TRULUCK
Team Leader and Realtor
Laurie Ann Truluck grew up in Ocala, attended FSU in Tallahassee and returned to Ocala to teach elementary school in the Marion County Schools. She was then Director of Happy Hearts Kindergarten & Preschool before starting her multi million dollar Real Estate business in 2002. She and her husband have three children (ages 12, 14 and 21). Their eldest graduated from a local school while their youngest two still attend public school in Ocala where they are actively involved in sports and other activities.
We love to work with people moving to our area so that we can share our love of our community and help them find their niche here. We take pride in going the extra mile to not only help our customers find or sell their Marion County home but also to find connections here that make their transition smooth and exciting. Most of our business comes from friends and referrals of friends, which makes our job fun and enjoyable and we love the new connections we make from our internet presence. We enjoy helping people reach goals, move on to new seasons of their lives, purchase their first home, make a real estate investment, upsize, downsize, or whatever the case may be.
If we can be of assistance to you, please get in touch – We’d love the opportunity to work with you!
A Florida native born right here in Marion County who loves being on or in the beautiful rivers and lakes that are abundant in north central Florida! I studied at Florida Southern College and received my Real Estate Broker’s license in the early 1980’s. I am experienced in all facets of the real estate industry from general home sales to new construction. My education in art and landscape design helps me help sellers in staging their homes for quick sales and offering buyers ideas to make it their home sweet home!
I am a Florida native…actually, I am a “Conch,” since I was born in Key West! I have lived in Ocala for over 20 years. I loved raising my two children in Marion County. My children went to public school here and participated in many of Ocala’s youth sports programs over the years. My son graduated from UCF and works in Orlando, and my daughter is still a student at UCF. I am a UF grad, and used my Health Education degree in the health and fitness industry for many years before becoming a realtor. I love to exercise, and often take advantage of Ocala’s great parks and trails. I also am an avid tennis player, and I love to write fiction, poems, and magazine articles. Growing up in a Navy family, and then building or renovating more than a half dozen homes as an adult, I have moved more than 30 times in my life. I am a packing and moving expert! I also know how exciting, but sometimes frustrating, the whole process can be. I love being a realtor because I like to help people, and helping families find a home they love is a great feeling.
I was born in Mississippi but moved to Ocala as a young child and graduated from Forest High School. I love to balance my life between my family of 6 and the job I love – helping my customers find the perfect home and helping people sell their home as they move along in their life journey. I enjoy staying active in our community by being involved with Habitat for Humanity, Interfaith, our children’s schools and their extracurricular sports and clubs. My husband is a pilot and in our spare time, we enjoy spending time on the water and finding new places to travel!
I was born and raised in Ocala and although I moved away for undergraduate and graduate school, I knew I wanted to move back at some point to raise my own family. I went to Auburn University where I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and later earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work at the University of South Florida. I spent almost 10 years as a teacher in the Marion County Public School system before transitioning to a career in Real Estate. I have a 5 year old daughter and a 3 year old son who definitely keep me on my toes! I love spending time with family, relaxing at the beach, and watching college football, particularly Auburn football- War Eagle! I really enjoy the variety of roles I am able to play for my clients throughout their real estate transactions, from teacher, to counselor, adviser, and ultimately a trusted friend. It’s the perfect mix of my past experience and I love it! I look forward to helping you in your journey!
I am originally from Massachusetts and have lived in Ocala, Florida for the last 13 years. I graduated from the University of Massachusetts and have over 12 years of experience in construction/land development, and flipping homes. As a community business owner and entrepreneur I think the words focused, efficient, and tireless are just a few that describe my work ethic. I try to foster relationships with integrity, and have a strong sense of responsibility, with an emphasis on delivering quality results to all of my clients! Please connect with me for all of your buying and selling needs. I look forward to assisting you with your own unique purchase or sale. Sincere thanks in advance for your support, it means the world to me!
I grew up in Leesburg, Florida about 40 miles south of Ocala. I spent most of my life enjoying the lake I grew up on, exploring the orange groves, riding horses and all that Central Florida has to offer. Over the years, I have been fortunate enough to experience the growth and development of Ocala, The Villages retirement community and surrounding areas. I graduated from Leesburg High School where I was very active in multiple organizations. I was a cheerleader most of my life and enjoyed weekends of Friday night lights often playing Ocala’s local high schools. I attended Auburn University where I was active in the Greek community and Rollins College earning degrees in Psychology. I began my career in real estate in 2000 in the tri- state area of Maryland, Virginia and D.C. My career focused on hosting and touring the new professors and coaches joining the University of Maryland and helping find their new home in the college town of College Park, In 2005 I returned to Florida and continued my career as a Sales Representative in The Villages, the friendliest hometown, working to find the perfect home for those to enjoy their retirement years. I moved to Ocala in 2007 and was instantly at home and in love with the community. I have four beautiful children. Austin my oldest son, Carter my daughter and my twins Teagan and Talley. I have traveled and lived around the United States and am happy to call Ocala my home.
Lori was born in Panama City, Florida but grew up all over the world! Her father is a Retired Air Force Office so she and her family moved an average of every two years! She started Kindergarten in The Philippines, graduated High School in Athens, Greece, and has lived a lot of places in between! All of this travel has afforded her the opportunity to meet people from all over the world and appreciate the diversity she encounters. She attended college in Mississippi where she met her husband of 27 years, Marc. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising and managed cosmetic and clothing departments for retail stores before having children. When Lori isn’t working in Real Estate she will be browsing online and in fashion magazines to keep up to date on all the latest fashions and trends! She even acts as a personal shopper for friends and family! Lori and her husband have three boys ages 22, 20, and 11. Lori moved to Ocala in 1999 when her husband took a position overseeing skilled nursing facilities throughout the state of Florida. She immediately fell in love with Ocala! The small town feel with the many amenities like having the Beach and Larger Cities like Orlando and Tampa within an hour or two drive is very appealing! Growing up all over the world with so much diversity has served Lori well in Real Estate. She loves working with people and easily adjusts her approach to meet the needs of each individual client. Whether you’re a first time home buyer, a luxury home buyer, a native Ocala resident, or from another country looking to buy a home in Ocala, Lori loves what she does and would love to help you find the perfect place to call Home!
I am a native of Ocala and have been here for over 40 years. After attending college in Gainesville, Florida and in Birmingham, Alabama, I returned to Ocala to start my family. I have two boys that are now grown adults that went to school and were raised here in Ocala. We were very involved in the local youth sports with them while growing up. I love to play tennis, bike ride, rollerblade, and walk in many of our local parks that Ocala has to offer. I enjoy being around people and because of that I have chosen to work in the customer service industry for many years, I started my career by working in new construction. When I rejoined the workforce after raising my family, real estate was such a perfect fit. I have worked with buyers, sellers, and investors. Whether you are selling or buying, real estate is a process and a journey, and because of that I get to know my customers really well and most importantly I get to build relationships one home at a time.
I was born and raised in Ocala. I went to school and graduated from Florida State University and have lived in Atlanta, Buffalo, Seattle, & St. Louis. I eventually returned to Ocala, which I now call home and I love it! My family has had a strong presence in Ocala for many years, even helping to pioneer the thoroughbred industry with Ocala Stud Farm, and outfitting Ocala’s finest with Greiner’s clothing! I have three wonderful children, the oldest of whom also graduated from FSU and works in Tallahassee. My middle child graduated from Troy university and works in Chicago and my youngest plays Volleyball at Georgia Southern University. I have known Laurie Ann for most of my life so it made sense for me to join her team. With her knowledge, experience, and the versatility of a large team and my roots in Ocala, being an agent will allow me to share my knowledge and love for the community with you! Together we will find your perfect home and welcome you as part of the Ocala family!
I got my real estate licence more for personal reasons to work with family properties but have decided to branch out and spread my wings. I chose this fantastic team to learn and grow in this exciting industry with an awesome group of Realtors (and people). Over the years I have had two successful careers in my life – one operating and owning my own small business for 15 years and also being a wife and a mom which I consider the most important career of my life. The things I value most in my life is God first and my family and friends . I have been married for 20 years. My wonderful husband is Harvey and we have a son named Carson who attends UCF in Orlando. My husband and I own an under ground utility company called Hamlet Construction.. Harvey has also developed several subdivisions here in Ocala. I am absolutely delighted to be a part of this team and look forward to working with the buyers, sellers and investors that I will have the opportunity to assist!

I highly recommend using Laurie to buy or sell a home!Geoff Orr
Laurie is a dedicated, full time Real Estate Agent! She will make sure all your needs are met when buying or selling your home. I highly recommend calling her FIRST for all your real estate needs!Sally Gallegos
Laurie Ann was very responsive to questions and concerns when we created our listing. She was receptive to input of the written description as well as photos. As it turned out our buyer purchased based on the photos and description alone so those can be a critical component of a sale. The negotiation went smoothly and Laurie Ann effectively coordinated between the buyer’s agent, the title company doing our closing and us. Would recommend with confidence!daynam5169
Laurie Ann helped me with the purchase of my first home several years ago, and made the process so smooth and painless that my husband and I sought her out four years later to help us sell it! She is very friendly and motivated, and returns communication very quickly, and I was treated more like a friend than just a client. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is searching for an agent!daynam5169
Laurie Ann was very friendly, competent, and professional. She was caring and communicated well with us. She did an excellent job of taking great pictures and helping us stage our home well. She made the whole selling process of selling our home seem easy. We would definitely recommend her.aly brown48
I worked with Laurie Ann and her team member Bronwyn Talley whom were both great! This was my first home purchase, and they were both accommodating and friendly. They made the process pretty seamless on their end. Of course, like any first time home buyer, I had LOTS of questions about the homes, processes and especially closing. Both Laurie Ann and Bronwyn answered all of the questions and made sure I was satisfied through every stage of the purchase. Whether you are a first time home buyer or a seasoned home buyer, Laurie Ann and Bronwyn are the team you want behind you.heatherproctor85
Being new to the Ocala area, we were very grateful that a friend recommended we reach out to Laurie Ann when buying a home. She responded quickly and truly has a wealth of knowledge about the Ocala area. She was especially knowledgeable about area schools. She set us up with a buyers agent, Kelly Robinson, who led us through the rest of the process. Kelly was very responsive and identified some great homes to help us start our search. We found a home a lot quicker than we had imaged. I also felt confident that we could call on Kelly or Laurie Ann if we had any questions along the way. They also took the time to recommend area contractors when I was looking to make improvements after purchase. I would highly recommend Laurie Anne and her team if you are looking to purchase a home.natmccomb
Working with Laurie Ann and her team at Sellstate made an otherwise challenging process of selling and buying a home with 2 young children seamless. Laurie Ann is very knowledgeable about the Ocala/Marion County community and market. She helped us buy our first home 7 years ago and recently helped us sell this and buy what we hope to now be our forever home!ccarlislebz
